The City Clerk is responsible for the care and
custody of all official records. The City Clerk prepares City
Council and Redevelopment Agency agendas and records; maintains
proceedings of the meetings; indexes and files official documents;
such as, contracts, ordinances, and resolutions; maintains statements
of economic interest; publishes City ordinances and legal advertising;
prepares certificates and awards; files candidate campaign statements;
updates the City Municipal Code book, opens bids, and assists
the public as needed.
The City Clerk's Office plans and supervises all City elections.
The general municipal election to vote on council members is
held in March of odd-numbered years.
