The City of San Fernando is located in the northeast
corner of Los Angeles County's San Fernando Valley. Situated
between three major freeways, San Fernando is surrounded by the

of its larger neighbor. The City is 2.42 square miles. San Fernando
was incorporated on August 31, 1911 and the San Fernando Police
Department was established soon thereafter. The Department currently
consists of 35 sworn officers and 25 civilian personnel.
