This is a Maclay Streetscape Project information
update for the month of August 2007:
Street paving work will begin on August 13 and continue through
August 20. The work will consist of pavement grinding from August
13 through August 16. This pavement grinding will be conducted on
Maclay Avenue between Eight Street and Fifth Street during August
13 and 14, and then be continued between Fifth Street and First Street
during August 15 and August 16. Coldmilling will resume on the side
streets of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th the morning of August 18. Please
know that during this time the grinding of the street will create
a rough surface, but the street will still be accessible to vehicles.
After completion of the pavement grinding, Maclay Avenue will be
repaved on August 17 (7pm - 10am), 18 (7pm-10am) and August 20 (7pm
- 5am) . The pavement grinding and repaving of Maclay Avenue will
take place in the evenings in order to minimize any inconvenience
to motorists. During this time, portions of Maclay Avenue will be
subject to nighttime closures. Once the street pavement work is complete
motorists will be able to immediately drive on it.
Grinding and paving work will also occur on portions of the side
streets adjacent to Maclay Avenue.
