Project Description
This exciting new project will bring major improvements to Park Avenue from First Street to Fourth Street. This phase of the Park Avenue improvements involves undergrounding public utilities which serve the residents along Park Avenue. By doing so it will eliminate tall, unsightly utility poles. The project is part of multi-step effort to provide an overall beautification of the Park Avenue streetscape
- Question: When will the project begin, and how long will it take to complete?
- Answer: The project is scheduled to start December 2010 and is expected to take approximately 2 months, weather permitting.
- Question: What are the hours of construction?
- Answer: Construction hours are 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Some work may occur on weekends.
- Question: What areas of the City will be affected by the project?
- Answer: The project includes Park Avenue between First Street to Fourth Street. The work will be done in segments in order to minimize impacts to pedestrians and vehicle traffic.
- Question: Will Recreation Park and the San Fernando Regional Pool Facility still be open during the construction phase?
- Answer: Yes! The City is committed towards minimizing any impacts to these facilities during the construction phase.
- Question: Where will I park?
- Answer: There will be temporary obstruction of on-street parking along segments of Park Avenue during construction. However, the entire length of Park Avenue will not be under construction at any given time which will always allow for some on-street parking. Side street parking will also be available.

Este nuevo proyecto traerá grandes mejoramientos a la Avenida Park entre las calles First y Fourth. Esta fase del trabajo consistirá mayormente en cavar zanjas sobre la Avenida Park y eliminación de postes de utilidades. Este proyecto es parte de el embellecimiento de la avenida Park

- Respuesta: El proyecto está programado para empezar en Diciembre del 2010 y se espera que tome aproximadamente 2 meses, si el tiempo lo permite.

- Respuesta: Las horas de construcción son de 7 de la mañana a 3 de la tarde. Trabajo durante el fin de semana puede ocurir.
