The Academy of Scientific Exploration: The instructional program for the Academy of Scientific Exploration emphasizes mathematics, science and technology through a project-based learning approach. Advisory and Strategic Labs will provide students with additional resources during the day. Strategic Labs are designed to connect each student with opportunities for individualized intervention, enhancements to classroom learning, and test preparation activities. Teachers will connect with parents on a regular basis to encourage parental engagement.
ArTES Academy: The ArTES Academy is designed with a Humanitas model of interdisciplinary study with a focus on art instruction as a way to engage students. Individual student capacity to learn is a key tenant of the instructional model and the program is committed to providing a personalized and differentiated learning experience for all students. Students' roles as learner, citizen, and artist will be cultivated within the instructional design.
Social Justice Humanitas Academy: Instruction in the Social Justice Humanitas Academy is centered on research-based practices and the use of the Humanitas model as well as an emphasis on the philosophy of social justice. The program focuses on the development of the complete individual within the instructional program and the school culture as well. Curriculum, instruction, and assessment are designed towards academic achievement and college-readiness and will be personalized and differentiated.
Teacher Preparation Academy: Instruction in the Teacher Preparation Academy is research-based and designed to be personalized to each student. Instruction will be provided through project-based learning, the inquiry approach, and through the use of technology. Students will receive individualized supports through programs such as mentoring and tutoring.
